SRHU strongly believes that teaching and learning are two key ingredients of the modern education system. Learning is a continuous process that continues inside and outside the classroom. MOOC, Online learning empowers the learner to continue the learning process at any time/place as per his/her convenience. Another challenge with MOOC, online learning is abundant and at times excessive unverified gullible materials available on the internet. This leaves serious leaners muddled and diverts the attention. Proctored online methods make targeted leaning very effective and reduce the time spent to achieve learning goals.
SRHU aims to extend classroom teaching to any time online learning and extending faculty-student interaction outside the classroom. SRHU Learning® is an initiative to offer online eLearning in web and mobile platform to all students of the university.

This application builds and implements the above SRHU learning philosophy into a web and android. This application has been powered by open source massively scalable learning software Open edX ® founded by Harvard and MIT. The free edx application stack is with the courtesy of bitnami®. It is build using various technology stacks such as:

• Elasticsearch
• Mysql
• Xqueue
• Xblocks Architecture
• Rabbitmq
The current functionalities of SRHU Learning® platform are as following:
• Publish Lesson plan, objective, syllabus and important messages to the class.
• Classroom learning material, courseware, and notes.
• Discussion board for queries and online discussion.
• Student enrollment into the course by faculty.
• Proctored leaning by faculty.
• Controlled release of learning material and courseware synchronized with classroom progress.
• On the spot online quizzes, questions.
• SRHU Online Course assignment submission and evaluation.
• Student progression and evaluation for awarding Teacher’s assessment(TA) marks.
• Evaluate and download Student performance in Teacher’s assessment(TA).
This companion E-Learning app of SRHU Learning®offers these functionalities on android platform students ha choice to access the learning material from the web (https://learn.srhu.edu.in) , mobile app.
